Below is a sample of awards presented to our staff for outstanding publications and Web sites.

Society for Technical Communications Awards

  • In 2003, Alternative Fuel News won an award of excellence from the Society for Technical Communications.
  • In 2002, we received a merit award for the electronic newsletter Transportation Times.
  • In 2001, we received merit awards for these communications products:
    • Alternative Fuel News
    • Raley's Evaluation Project Results
    • Clean Cities conference materials

International Association of Business Communicators Awards

  • In 2004, we received a bronze quill award for the newsletter Clean Cities News. We won in the Publication Redesign/Reposition category for taking CCN from the 16-page feature-oriented magazine to the 8-page newsletter.
  • In 2002, we received a bronze quill award for the electronic newsletter Transportation Times. We also won a merit award in the silver quill competition.
  • In 2002 and 2001, we received a merit award for the publication Alternative Fuel News.

National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) Award

  • In 2001, we received honorable mention in the "recognition programs" category of NAGC's Blue Pencil Awards Competition for the Award-Winning Coalitions fact sheets.

DOE's energy.gov "Featured Web Site" Awards

  • We received awards for:
    • Transportation Times (2001)
    • Clean Cities Web site (Nov. 2000)
    • Alternative Fuel News (March 2001 and August 2001)
