Welcome to the Advanced Fuels Properties Database. Information on advanced petroleum- and nonpetroleum based fuels, as well as key data on advanced compression ignition fuels is presented here. The database includes data on physical, chemical, operational, environmental, safety, and health properties. These data result from tests conducted according to standard methods (mostly American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)). We've included the source and test methods for each fuel data set.
All values in this database are "as-reported," meaning that tests conducted using varying methods may result in somewhat different values. However, results should meet the precision and repeatability requirements defined by ASTM test methods.
You can search the database in various ways. If you want numbers, highlight the fuel type, property type, and unit type, and highlight "no" on all other options. For explanatory text, select "display fuel descriptions." If you'd like to know the information source, choose "display fuel references." Heavy vehicle chassis emission data are available for some fuels; choose the "heavy vehicle chassis emissions data" link.
