Long Beach Transit
The Fleet Test and Evaluation team worked with California-based Long Beach Transit to study the in-service performance of hybrid buses manufactured by New Flyer and equipped with ISE's ThunderVolt hybrid drive systems. The two-year evaluation, which was conducted between July 2005 and June 2007, compared 10 of the agency's 47 hybrid buses with 10 of its 138 diesel buses.
