Apart from having NREL and the biggest thin-film manufacturers such as First Solar, Uni-Solar, Ersol, SCHOTT, Kaneka, Signet Solar … discuss the latest technological advances and ways of reducing costs for thin-film manufacturing, another highlight of the conference is the dedicated sessions on how to secure private and public funding for thin-film projects. The DOE will be giving up-to-the-minute development on the loan guarantee program, tax credits, and shedding light on upcoming legislation that may affect the thin-film industry.
The event is proving to be very timely as thin-film manufacturers look for ways to strengthen their position in the industry and stake their claim to a share of the thin-film pie. Over 300 senior experts (thin-film manufacturers, investors, government representatives, engineers, scientists, project developers, utilities, researchers, key service providers) are expected under one roof as the conference firmly establishes itself as 'the' annual meeting place for thin-film leaders.
