NREL's Solar Technical Assistance Team (STAT), with support from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) SunShot Initiative, presents multiple webinars each year that are targeted to state and local policymakers.
2015 Webinar Topics
This year, STAT is providing fact-based information that may prove useful in public utility commission hearings or other legislative discussions as part of the Solar Stats for Policymakers educational series. These live-streamed webinars feature NREL's in-house experts, reusable graphs and statistics, and a more engaging discussion-style video format. The following topics will be covered:

- Solar Policies for Grid Stability and Resiliency

Past Webinar Series
Solar 101: Hosted in 2012, these webinars provide an overview of policy and program actions that stakeholders can implement to support solar markets.
Solar Hot Topics: In 2013, the STAT webinar series featured five events focused on current market issues including an overview of solar technologies, resources, and the role that state and local governments play in supporting the development of those resources.
DIY Solar Market Analysis: STAT presented four webinars in 2014 to empower policymakers to develop local solar markets using various online tools, such as PVWatts and the Community Solar Scenario Tool.
