Please note: Denver is the host city for the Democratic National Convention, August 25-28, 2008. Even though this event does not begin until several weeks after the conclusion of our workshop, it is anticipated that advance preparation for the convention will create a high demand for services such as air travel to Denver and car rental. As such, we strongly encourage workshop participants to plan ahead earlier than usual when making your travel arrangements in order to assure the best possible availability and pricing.
If you are a professional working in R&D or commercial production of solar cells and modules, you are invited to participate in the 18th Workshop on Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells & Modules: Materials and Processes. We are in the midst of planning the program and will soon have a preliminary program posted at this Web site.
Many of you already know that this workshop promotes an informal exchange of technical and scientific information between international researchers in the photovoltaic and relevant non-photovoltaic fields. The salient features of the technical program of this workshop are — (i) Review presentations by invited speakers who summarize current stage of knowledge on topic of the session, (ii) Open discussion sessions following each oral session, and (iii) Poster sessions, which present the latest research results. The workshop provides ample opportunities for technical discussions in each session and with the authors during the poster presentations.
The Workshop encourages the younger generation of scientists and engineers in the photovoltaic area to participate. Through contributions from the photovoltaic industry, we offer Graduate Student Awards to help their participation.
On this Web site, you will find the following information to assist you with registering for the 17th Workshop. Please note all deadlines.
