2012 PV Module Reliability Workshop
Registration Deadline
Registration will close on February 14 or when all seats are taken, whichever comes first. No on-site registration will be supported, so please confirm your registration in advance. In addition, hotel reservations are due February 13.
The 2012 Photovoltaic Module Reliability Workshop (PVMRW) will be held in Golden, Colorado, February 28–March 1, 2012, at the Denver Marriott West, which is adjacent to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's research campus.
The PVMRW will include four parts. Participants may attend one or more of the following sessions:
- Silicon PV: Tues., Feb. 28, 2012
Presentations, discussions, and posters
- PV Standards: Wed., Feb. 29, 2012
Session includes face-to-face discussions for ongoing working groups with call-in provided for those who wish to participate remotely.
- Materials Testing
- Quality Assurance Rating
- Thin-Film Modules: Thurs., Mar. 1, 2012
Presentations, discussions, and posters
- CPV: Thurs., Mar. 1, 2012
Presentations, discussions, and posters
Similar to the 2011 PVMRW, the objective of this 2012 workshop is for participants to share information leading to the improvement of PV module reliability. Such improvement reduces the cost of solar electricity and promotes investor confidence in the technology—both critical goals for moving PV technologies deeper into the electricity marketplace.
In this spirit, we are requiring active participation with at least one contribution from each participating organization, as either an oral or poster presentation during the first and third days. The standards development on the middle day is open to all active participants. Active participation provides benefit to all: everyone shares a little and takes home a lot. To maximize input from a variety of perspectives, participation will be limited to a maximum of two individuals from each organization.
