Colorado High School Students Fight for Top Spot in Battle of the Brains

What:
High school students from across Colorado will test their scientific knowledge this weekend at the Colorado High School Science Bowl. The winning team goes on to a national competition. This rapid-fire question-and-answer tournament focuses on physics, math, biology, astronomy, chemistry, computers and earth sciences. Sponsors for the event are the U.S. Department of Energy, Xcel Energy Foundation, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Midwest Research Institute and Battelle, Jefferson County Public Schools, Dakota Ridge High School, Science Kit & Boreal Labs, Ward’s Natural Science and Sargent-Welch.
Who:
Thirty-one teams from Arvada, Aurora, Broomfield, Castle Rock, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Denver, Gypsum, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Littleton, Pueblo, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge are competing.
