The morning of October 9 will consist of a plenary session open to user group members and interested parties from UVIG member organizations. The Plenary Session at this meeting will focus on maximizing the service life of gearboxes—operating, lubricating, inspecting, and rebuilding.
The afternoon of October 9 as well as the morning of October 10, will consist of vendor product-specific roundtable rorums for user group members only. The format consists of open discussions, moderated by a roundtable chair, centered on a specific wind turbine component or specific model of wind turbine. The roundtable provides the opportunity for frank and open discussion among users, who share their information, knowledge and experience.
The afternoon of October 10 will feature the inaugural meeting of UWIG's Balance of Plant Discussion Roundtable. This event is open to user group members only and will serve as an organizational meeting for this roundtable as well as a frank discussion about various aspects of balance of plant and other non turbine-specific issues.
Attendees choosing to skip the Balance of Plant Roundtable can participate in a tour of enXco's Palm Springs Turbine Maintenance Facility. This facility offers participants an opportunity to view maintenance being performed on a variety of components of sub-Megawatt nameplate capacity turbines.
