05/17/2011 05/18/2012 080018 103.21 W/m2/mV
05/18/2012 - 080015 102.62 W/m2/mV
Total Hemispheric shortwave irradiance as measured by an Kipp & Zonen Model CMP22 with calibration factor traceable to the World Radiometric Reference (WRR). In addition to the responsvity at 45 degrees, a responsivity function (based on zenith angle) is also applied to the data. The current coefficients for this function are available from AIM database server. As of 2/11/2011, the CMP22 body temperature is also recorded.
CH1 Direct Normal W/m2 10/15/2009 05/17/2011 080033 111.82 W/m2/mV
05/17/2011 05/18/2012 080034 102.59 W/m2/mV
05/18/2011 - 080035 101.35 W/m2/mV
Direct (Beam) shortwave irradiance as measured by a Kipp & Zonen Model CH1 mounted in an automatic sun-following tracker (Model 2AP) with calibration factor traceable to the World Radiometric Reference (WRR).
8-48 Diffuse Horizontal W/m2 10/15/2009 05/17/2011 35246 121.43 W/m2/mV
05/17/2011 05/18/2012 35244 134.21 W/m2/mV
05/18/2011 - 35246 121.12 W/m2/mV
Diffuse (Sky) shortwave irradiance measured by an Eppley Black & White Pyranometer mounted under the shading ball of a Model 2AP tracker with calibration factor traceable to the World Radiometric Reference (WRR).
HMP50 Dry Bulb Temperature and Relative Humidity oC
%
10/15/2009 - D3530103 0.1 oC/mV-40oC
0.1 %/mV
Outside air temperature and relative humidity inside in a naturally aspirated radiation shield mounted 2 meters above ground level. The dew point temperature is calculated using both the temperature and RH. The wind chill temperature is also calculated using the new National Weather Service (NWS) method as described on the NOAA web site.
3001 Wind Speed and Wind Direction m/s
degrees
10/15/2009 - - 0.75 m/s/Hz+0.2m/s
355 o/mV
Measured by a RM Young 3-cup anemometer and vane mounted 10 meters above ground level on tower. The peak wind speed is also recorded, which is the peak 3-second running average during the 1-minute interval. Note: Peak wind speed data prior to July 11, 2001 is the maximum 1-sec anemometer reading during the 1-minute interval. As of July 11, 2011, the wind speed & direction standard deviation during the one minute interval and the wind direction during the peak wind speed are also recorded.
CS106 Station Pressure mBar 10/15/2009 - D0810016 0.24 mBar/mV+500mBar
The station pressure is measured by a Vaisala PTB110 sensor mounted inside weatherproof housing.
375 Precipitation Gauge (tipping bucket) mm 02/11/2011 - - 0.254 mm/count
The MetOne Model 375 tipping bucket precipitation gauge is mounted 1 meter above ground level. The accumulated daily precipitation is also recorded.
(calc) Zenith Angle o 10/15/2009 - - -
Solar zenith angle (refracted). Calculated after datacollection (outside the datalogger) using the Solar Position Algorithm (SPA) and added to the datastream.
(calc) Azimuth Angle o 10/15/2009 - - -
Solar azimuth angle. Calculated after datacollection (outside the datalogger) using the Solar Position Algorithm (SPA) and added to the datastream.
(calc) Airmass - 10/15/2009 - - -
Relative optical airmass (not pressure corrected). Calculated after datacollection (outside the datalogger) using the Solar Position Algorithm (SPA) and added to the datastream.
- CR1000 Temperature oC 10/15/2009 - - -
Temperature of CR1000 datalogger panel. Logger is mounted inside weatherproof enclosure.
- CR1000 Battery Voltage V 10/15/2009 - - -
This battery powers both the CR1000 and communications modem. Battery is mounted inside weatherproof encosure.
- PV Battery Voltage V 10/15/2009 04/29/2010 - -
Battery system used to power 2AP solar tacker and data acquisition system. Battery is charged by a large PV panel. As of 2/11/2011, system is powered by 120V AC.
- CR1000 Process Time (Maximum) s 02/23/2011 - - -
The maximum time it took for the CR1000 to execute its program during the 1-minute interval. The program is currently scheduled to run every 1 second, therefore value should not exceed 1 second.
2AP 2AP Clock Status Code varies 02/23/2011 - - -
The data logger is used to check and maintain the 2AP solar tracker clock using RS-232 communication, the status codes reported by the data logger are as follows:
  • -2: Data logger failed to communicate with 2AP
  • -1: Data logger did not check 2AP clock (clock is only checked at night)
  • >=0: A zero or positive integer number indicates the absolute difference between the data logger clock and the 2AP clock in seconds. Note: The data logger will attempt to reset the 2AP clock if this difference exceedes 5 seconds.
Notes:
  • Data Sample rate is every 1 second with 1-minute average output.
  • The CR1000 is a table based operating system, data is converted from table to array format after data collection, also any non-numeric values are converted to -99999.
