BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R12/30/202112:33:0012/30/202116:39:00The 2-axis tracker failed under high wind conditions and is facing in a north east position, data from the following instruments should not be used until repaired:: Global Normal CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER. Tracker was power cycled after the wind died down to force it resume normal tracking operations.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R12/15/202108:00:0012/16/202108:25:00The 2-axis tracker failed under high wind conditions and is facing in a north east position, data from the following instruments should not be used until repaired:: Global Normal CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER. Tracker was power cycled the following day (with sun sensor disconnected) to force it resume normal tracking operations. Sun sensor is now connected and it seems to be working.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R09/17/202115:13:0009/23/202107:55:00For an experiment, the 1-axis and 2-axis trackers were placed in a 40-degree South Fixed Tilt, this affects the following instruments: Global Normal CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER; Global 1-Axis CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R05/12/202107:40:0005/28/202114:30:00For an experiment, Direct Normal collimating tubes were placed on the SRRL 2-Axis WISER spectroradiometer during this time. As a result the tube will be in the field of view of this global normal radiometer and may affect the data.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R03/17/202117:32:0003/19/202116:14:00For an experiment, the 1-axis and 2-axis trackers were placed in a 40-degree South Fixed Tilt, this affects the following instruments: Global Normal CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER; Global 1-Axis CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R, WISER. Also on 3/19, for a short periods (approx 5 min each), the CMP22 was shaded at 9:01, 12:07, 12:16, and 15:06 MST (approx start times).
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R11/17/202007:21:0011/17/202007:45:00Due to a scheduled NREL/SRRL power outage, to replace a surge protection device on the SRRL building, The following BMS instruments were not tracking the sun during this time: Global Normal CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R; Global 1-Axis CMP22, SP-Lite2, LI-200R
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R06/19/202012:14:0012/15/202119:31:00DATA CORRECTED on 12/17/2021: Irradiances were increased by 0.675% due to revised BORCAL report for all BMS shortwave radiometers calibrated in 2020 and 2021.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R07/28/201800:00:0007/30/201809:30:00The global normal tracker was not working during this time, data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R should not be used. Problem Unknown.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R07/22/201800:00:0007/23/201808:45:00The global normal tracker was not working during this time (pointed toward ground), data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R should not be used. Power cable had come unplugged to AC adapter. AC adapter was relocated to prevent future unplugging.
BMSPY100362Global Normal LI-200R05/08/201713:30:0005/11/201710:50:00Instrument is reading bogus after heavy hail storm at SRRL. It appears that the signal cable inside the bendix connector was broken. The sensor was replaced with the calibration spare (S/N PY100361) until it can be repaired.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R02/21/201700:00:0002/22/201709:15:00The global normal tracker was not working during this time (pointed toward ground), data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R should not be used. Corroded connector was found at battery, replaced connector which restored 18 VDC to tracker.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R02/17/201700:00:0002/17/201713:00:00The global normal tracker was not working during this time (pointed toward ground), data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R should not be used.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R02/04/201700:00:0002/06/201709:00:00The global normal tracker was not working during this time (pointed toward ground), data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R should not be used.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R01/06/201700:00:0001/17/201713:50:00The global normal tracker has been having occasional tracking problems on various days during this time frame, data for the Global Normal CMP11 and LI-200R may be affected.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R12/01/201613:00:0012/05/201612:26:00When the LI-200R was first installed the data logger output was accidentally set to sample instead of average during this time, so data was 1-minute samples instead of 1-minute averages, as a result data will disagree with other instruments during cloud passage.
BMSGlobal Normal LI-200R12/01/201613:00:0012/14/201608:44:00When the LI-200R was first installed the calibration factor at 45 degrees was used instead of the preferred 0 degrees for global normal:CF@45=91.575 W/mē/mV; CF@0=91.707 W/mē/mV.
