Research Staff

Because the fundamental science behind hydrogen and fuel cell technologies spans NREL's diverse renewable energy specialties, researchers across the laboratory—in photovoltaics, bioenergy, transportation, wind, buildings, and basic sciences—contribute to this work.

NREL's hydrogen and fuel cells research is conducted according to the technical tasks listed below. Technical leaders work closely with the laboratory program manager for NREL's Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, and Infrastructure Technologies Program along with the director of NREL's Hydrogen Technologies and Systems Center to guide NREL's hydrogen and fuel cells research efforts. These efforts support the Fuel Cell Technologies Program at the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
