National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Employment

Foreign Nationals

At the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), collaboration is key to conducting scientific research at our institution in Golden, Colorado. Because an international scope is essential to our development program, we invite outstanding scholars from other countries to become an integral part of our organization through the Foreign National Assignment Program. This program enables people with new ideas and talents from around the world to contribute to research of mutual interest at the Laboratory while also contributing to the transfer of the technology resulting from that research.

As a foreign national, you'll need information about immigration and the various types of visas. You can also find numerous helpful links to the State Department, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Social Security Administration, currency conversion, location of U.S. embassies and consulates, how to get a driver's license, local schools and banks, and much more.

The Living in the Golden Area section includes housing, transportation, and other regional information.

We hope you enjoy your time at NREL!
