Wind Powering America Updates Maps of Educational Programs and Schools 
Wind Powering America added 25 new universities or community colleges to an interactive map identifying wind energy education programs across the United States. WPA also added 10 new schools to an interactive map that identifies more than 250 schools with operating or planned wind turbines.

Student Winners Announced in Solar and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car Races 
Sixty-five teams from 24 Colorado schools participated in today's Junior Solar Sprint and Hydrogen Fuel Cell car competitions hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The student teams raced solar or hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles they designed and built themselves.

NREL to "Teach the Teachers" of Jeffco's Solar on Schools program 
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will introduce curriculum in partnership with Jeffco's Solar on Schools program that has plans to install 100kw PV systems on 30 district schools. Once the curriculum is developed and tested, Jeffco hopes that other schools will also adopt alternative renewable energy curriculum.

Fairview High School Wins Colorado Science Bowl 
Students from Fairview High School Team 1 won the Colorado High School Science Bowl today. They will go on to the 21st National Science Bowl in Washington D.C. on Apr. 28 – May 2, where they will compete for the national title against more than 450 students from 68 high schools.
