We develop science programs that engage the minds of our future leaders, scientists, and engineers. We strive to increase the quantity, quality, and diversity of students preparing to become scientific and technical professionals.

Community Involvement & Outreach

Through various programs and projects, we promote a culture of trust and partnership with our community. Our staff has volunteered thousands of hours of community service through dozens of projects, including building an energy-efficient Habitat for Humanity home.

We support the growth of minority- and women-owned business enterprises through mutually beneficial technology partnerships. Diverse businesses can collaborate with our scientists and use our facilities, expertise, and capabilities.

Central to NREL's mission is our commitment to small business. We seek partnership opportunities with small companies to help commercialize renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, and supply NREL with essential products and services.
