Title:
Lynn Gedvilas at the scanning Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) microscope (manufactured by Nicolet)
Caption
NREL researcher uses the scanning Fourier transform infrared microscope to examine novel PV materials. Principal application of the FTIR microscope is impurity characterization in PV and TPV materials and devices. Nicolet Magna 550 spectrophotometer equipped for both large area infrared mapping and micron scale reflectance and transmittance via a Continuum infrared microscope.
