Notes:
Low resolution digital file (2.3 MB); Through the design and construction of a series of energy demonstration homes, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has improved the energy performance of every home they build. They now regularly surpass EnergyStar requirements and received the 2004 EnergyStar Millennium Builder Award. Now, with sponsorship from NREL's managing partners and technical support from the Building America Program, NREL and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver are teaming to create the ultimate in energy demonstration homes: a Zero Energy Home. This home will be designed to produce as much energy as it consumes on an annual basis.
