Senior Engineer John Thornton made new friends while helping to design and install a photovoltaic (PV) power system at Camp Leakey, an orangutan research center in the remote jungles of Borneo. The project was made possible by great teamwork from NREL, DOE, MRI, private citizens and PV manufacturers that donated materials.
