- Diverse workforce at NREL - NREL has created an inclusive work environment that benefits from diversity throughout the lab,
values individual differences, and encourages employees to develop and contribute to their full potential. To see other images from

- - Forced recirculation evaporator installed in the Biochemical Pilot Plant (BPP). This unit can be used to concentrate dilute sugar streams
or remove volatile compounds. To see other images from this collection, conduct your search using biochemical pilot plant in the search
for box on the Text Search page.

- Sunrise at the Solar Radiation Research Laboratory (SRRL):
The curved optics of the dome on this instrument distorted the horizon and cloud strata into an arc above the sensor
(the flat disk in the center). This view is looking through the dome toward the sunrise. In its day job, the instrument records
ultraviolet solar radiation, which is an important measurement for human health and to help predict materials degradation.

- The Wind to Hydrogen (Wind2H2) Project examines the systems integration issues with wind-hydrogen production, compression,
storage and use. NREL researcher Peter Gotseff works on the compressor. To see other images from this collection, conduct your search
using Wind2H2 in the search for box on the Text Search page.

- NREL staff attended the groundbreaking of one of the largest photovoltaic power plants in the United States. The 8.22-megawatt Alamosa
Photovoltaic Solar Plant is being built under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between SunEdison and Xcel Energy. Xcel Energy will
purchase the clean, solar power from SunEdison, who will build, finance and maintain the plant. NREL researched different technologies
and offered opinions on what technologies were the most viable. To see other images from this event conduct your search using Alamosa
Photovoltaic in the search for box on the Text Search page.

- Front Range Energy located in Windsor, Colorado, began ethanol production in June 2006. The plant will process
approximately 40 million gallons of ethanol and 396,000 tons of wet distillers grain annually. To see other images from this collection, conduct your search using Front Range Energy in the search for box on the Text Search page.

- Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt of Sweden visited NREL. He toured the Alternative Fuels User Facility (AFUF) to learn about NREL's work in cellulosic
ethanol research, then visited with solar research staff in the Science & Technology Facility (S&TF). He was also briefed on plug-in hybrid vehicles and
battery research, wind energy and buildings technologies. He said his visit to NREL showed him that Americans are doing something about global energy
and climate issues. To see other images from this collection, conduct your search using Fredrik Reinfeldt in the search for box on the Text Search page.
