The core objectives of the scientific visualization capability within the center are as follows:
- To provide the tools and techniques to visualize, analyze and interpret complex scientific data. Using the powerful graphics PCs and other equipment in the lab researchers are able to view results using high resolution, true color graphics, 3D modeling and animation.
- To provide a state of the art facility enabling 3D visualization and presentation of scientific data. In this context the center provides both a medium for facilitating communication with current collaborators and a powerful tool for presenting the work done within the laboratory to potential future collaborators.
- To provide the capabilities to allow researchers to present scientific data in stereographic 3D at any locale.
The lab has several graphics PC, two projectors and other peripherals. These are listed in the Hardware section. A detailed listing of Software in the lab is also available.
A Gallery of recent movies created in the lab is also available.
Hardware
