Dr. Juarez L.F. Da Silva joined NREL in August 2006 as a Research Associate in the Computational Materials Science Group. He received his B.S. (1994), M.S. (1997) and Ph.D. (2002) all in Physics at the Goias Federal University, Sao Paulo University, and Fritz-Haber Institute of the Max-Planck Society (Technical University Berlin), respectively. His background is in material science based on first-principles, density-functional theory calculations. His current research interests are:
