The 23rd Symposium on Biotechnology for Fuels and Chemicals continues a symposium series that focuses on improving the economics of fuels and chemicals production. This year's program provides a tremendous opportunity for experts from around the world to gather and discuss the latest research breakthroughs and results in biotechnology. A variety of formal technical sessions, poster sessions and informal discussion groups will stimulate the exchange of new information among attendees from industrial, academic, and government sectors.

Mark your calendars now. The 23rd Symposium will be May 6-9, 2001, at the Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, Colorado. Beaver Run is a great facility with excellent meeting rooms, lots of good spots for small meetings and private conversations, and great amenities if you want to bring the family. The resort has a variety of cost-effective condos, suites, and other room arrangements in addition to standard hotel rooms—great for families or sharing with colleagues. Breckenridge is a charming victorian town in a gorgeous setting, so plan to come early. The Symposium starts Sunday afternoon; if you arrive a day or two before, you can get a better air fare, learn your way around, and enjoy (and adjust to) the spectacular mountain setting.
